In short
Milpaso counts your steps on your phone and that data never leaves it. There are no accounts, no ads, we don't sell data and you don't need internet to play. The network is used for three things only: validating your purchases, anonymously measuring how the game is used (you can turn it off) and receiving crash reports.
Who is responsible
Milpaso is developed by Juan Felipe Andrade Vargas, operating as Wanderoot, in Colombia. For any question about this policy or your data, write to support@milpaso.app.
Your steps and your farm stay on your phone
Milpaso reads the system step counter (the physical activity permission on Android and Motion & Fitness on iOS) solely to turn your steps into water drops inside the game. Your step count, your farm, your album, your streak and your settings are stored in the app's local storage and are never sent to any server of ours or of third parties. Milpaso is not a health app, makes no diagnoses and shares no activity data with anyone.
Uninstalling the app or using “Start over” in Settings deletes that data. Automatic device backups (Google Drive on Android, iCloud on iOS) are managed by Google or Apple according to your system settings, not by us.
What is processed outside your phone
| Purpose | What data | Who processes it |
|---|---|---|
| Validating in-app purchases and restoring them on another device | What dataAn anonymous identifier generated by the app, the store purchase receipt, the purchased product identifier, country and currency, date | Who processes itApple App Store or Google Play (they process the payment; we never see your card) and RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) |
| Understanding how the game is used in order to improve it (can be turned off in Settings) | What dataAn anonymous identifier, usage events (for example “first harvest”), device model, operating system, app version, language and approximate country from IP | Who processes itPostHog, Inc. None of these services receives your name, your email, your steps or the content of your farm. We do not use the device advertising identifier or any ad-tracking technology, and we do not link this data with other apps or websites.
What we don't do
We don't ask for or create user accounts.
We don't show ads or share data with ad networks.
We don't sell or rent data to anyone.
We don't ask for your location, your contacts or your photos.
We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. Milpaso is intended for a general audience and requires no personal data to work. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
In-app purchases
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which handle payment, billing and refunds under their own terms and privacy policies. Milpaso uses RevenueCat to verify the receipt and know which content you have unlocked. Everything that affects game progress is earned by playing; what is sold is cosmetic.
Your rights and how to exercise them
You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings. You can delete all game data with “Start over” or by uninstalling the app. If you want us to delete the data associated with your installation's anonymous identifier at RevenueCat, PostHog or Sentry, write to support@milpaso.app from the app (Settings → Support) so we can identify your installation, and we will do so within 30 days. You also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability granted by Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012, the General Data Protection Regulation (if you are in the European Union), the CCPA (if you are in California) and any other applicable law.
International transfers and retention
The providers above process data in the United States and, in PostHog's case, optionally in the European Union, under their own contractual safeguards. Anonymous analytics and error data are kept only as long as needed for their purpose and never longer than 24 months; purchase data is kept as long as needed to maintain your access to what you bought.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything relevant, we will update this page and its effective date, and we will notify you in the app when the change affects what we collect.
